Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting our company's digital assets from cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to our information systems.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools to protect against cyber threats.
- Monitor and investigate security events and incidents, and respond to security breaches in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Provide cybersecurity training to employees to enhance their awareness of cyber risks and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to ensure our security protocols are current and effective.
- Work collaboratively with other IT staff to implement security measures and ensure the integrity of our systems.
- Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of weakness and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability assessment tools, and other security tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to security breaches and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT staff and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with security auditing and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA is a plus.
